SHOCK DANCE — BOOTCAMP

The Brief

For the past three years, SHOCK Dance has partnered with Kings & Queens to document its annual Bootcamp — a three-day training experience bringing dancers and instructors together for an intensive weekend of movement, instruction, and community.

The production needed to capture the energy of each day while creating a larger annual film that told the story of the complete Bootcamp experience.

The Solution

K&Q built a repeatable production approach around the three-day event, producing a dedicated recap film for each day alongside a full-length Bootcamp film each year.

The result is a growing body of work that gives SHOCK Dance both immediate daily content and a polished annual piece that captures the full experience.

The Approach

The production is designed around documenting an active, fast-moving live environment without disrupting the experience itself.

Across three days, Thomas Stroud captures instruction, performances, behind-the-scenes moments, participant interactions, and the overall energy of the Bootcamp, then shapes that footage into distinct daily recaps and a larger annual story.

Over three consecutive years, the relationship has grown beyond the annual Bootcamp into an ongoing production partnership, with K&Q now producing approximately five projects for SHOCK Dance each year.

The result is a consistent visual record of the brand's events and programming, supported by a production relationship built over time.
