The Brief

CHLKD Up partnered with Kings & Queens to create an athlete profile featuring CrossFit athlete Caroline Kluttz.

The project called for a piece that could introduce Caroline as an athlete while showcasing CHLKD Up's apparel through authentic training imagery.

The Solution

K&Q produced an athlete profile film centered around Caroline's training, personality, and relationship with the sport, accompanied by a library of still photography featuring Caroline in CHLKD Up apparel.

Shot at Caroline's gym in Charlotte, North Carolina, the production combined documentary-style storytelling with branded lifestyle and training imagery.

The Approach

The project brought Thomas Stroud back to the CrossFit community that originally shaped his production career, beginning in 2016.

Rather than approaching the shoot as a traditional apparel campaign, the production focused on capturing Caroline in her actual training environment. The gym became the setting for both the athlete profile and supporting photography, allowing the brand and athlete to feel naturally connected to the work.

The result was a campaign built around a real athlete, a real training environment, and a genuine connection to the CrossFit community.
