ALFAC — PRIME PROSPECTS
The Brief
Dagger Agency partnered with freelance agency producer Thomas Stroud to develop Prime Prospects, a campaign spotlighting HBCU football players on their path toward the NFL Draft.
The campaign centered around Deion Sanders, with the production requiring a combination of original footage, player stories, and imagery from HBCU programs across the country.
The Solution
Thomas produced the campaign remotely, coordinating a local production team to capture Deion Sanders' on-camera pieces while managing the broader production and asset pipeline from start to finish.
A major component of the project was sourcing and curating archival and editorial footage from participating HBCUs, navigating image licensing and usage rights to ensure the campaign could legally incorporate the players and programs featured.
The Approach
The production required a distributed workflow, with Thomas managing the project remotely while a local crew handled the physical production with Deion Sanders.
Beyond the shoot itself, Thomas managed the campaign's footage and licensing workflow—identifying relevant HBCU content, coordinating with schools and rights holders, and securing the necessary usage permissions for campaign assets.
The result was a nationally focused campaign assembled from multiple production sources while maintaining a cohesive creative and editorial approach.
